Description
Overview The ERP Developer/Oracle Database Administrator will be a member of the Gilbane Technology Group's ERP team responsible for the technical support and maintenance of the ERP system - Financial and Accounting, and Job Cost Management systems. The candidate would support several of technologies, including integrations with other systems as well as requiring excellent customer support skills. * This position can be located near ANY U.S. based Gilbane Office with the flexibliity for a hybrid or remote work arrangement.* Responsibilities * Perform daily monitoring and analysis of databases to ensure the continuance of operations * Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures, objects (such as tables, indexes, triggers) and functions using PL/SQL * Support ERP application, including monitoring, cycling, and troubleshooting * Support ERP upgrades and patching * Write ad-hoc queries and reports using CMiC BI and Jasper Reports. * Develop and maintain programs using CMiC's Program Builder * Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing * Work with ERP Team and Stakeholders to gather requirements and provide solutions to business problems, including those that go beyond a technical footprint * Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures * Accurately record, update, and document requests using the IT service desk system * Create and maintain knowledge base articles * Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization * Work with Application Development team to develop new integrations and maintain existing integrations. Knowledge/Skills * Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, math, engineering, information systems, or equivalent * 5+ years database development in Oracle environment * 5+ years writing and debugging stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, indexes, constraints * Experience in database design and modeling * Experience in performance tuning, query optimization * Experience with data warehouse/BI tools * Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and Jasper is a plus * Experience with CMiC or other Construction ERP is a plus * Experience with MS SSIS is a plus * Experience with Toad is a plus * Excellent written/verbal communication skills required * Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills required * Experience with Agile PM frameworks such as Scrum Personal Skills * Ability to adapt to change and work requests * Ability to prioritize, manage and perform under pressure * Apply knowledge to new situations, open to learning new technologies * Works well in a team * Open to new ideas * Willing to share knowledge Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
