This is a W2 only opportunity.A client of Vaco is looking to bring on a Software Developer for a 6 month contract-to-hire. Candidate MUST be local to Columbus as this position will be a hybrid model (Remote MWF, in office TTH.) Candidates outside of Columbus will not be considered. Compensation ranges from $40/hr - $50/hr based on experience. Prior experience is required, this is not an entry-level role.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement application changes
- Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems
- Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement
- Conduct research on emerging technologies
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/IT or related field
- Advanced understanding of information processing principels and practices
- 3+ years of experience working professionally as a developer in a .NET environment
- 3+ years of hands on experience with application development tools, modern C#, Visual Studio, and SQL 2012+
- 3+ years of experience with business requirements gathering/analysis
- Proven experience in internet-based systems development
- Basic knowledge of DevOps and Agile practices
- Familiarity with cloud services (Azure preferred)
