Description
SOSi is looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our System Integration Team integrating Increment II of the US Army's Integrated Personnel and Pay System (IPPS-A). You will support the IPPS-A Infrastructure team to support activities of multiple teams including development, test, data, reporting, sustainment and operations. Activities including but not limited to database and schema creation, user/role security, table maintenance, data migration, performance tuning, and database refreshes. You will also be responsible for general Oracle database support activities will include database sizing, cloning, testing, debugging, replication, backups, restores, disaster recovery, and ongoing support to include status checks and critical patch updates.Developing, documenting, and maintaining the technical and conceptual specifications in support of the overall program database designsSupporting the design, development and ongoing operations of the IPPS-A database applications, tools, and environmentsSupporting the development, testing and CM teams for Functional/Security and Performance Testing, code packaging and code migration to various Test and Production environmentsWorking closely with other DBAs, application administrators, developers, and testers to improve system performance, data quality, define requirements and develop solutions to complex problemsWorking to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks to meet program goals and deliverable objectivesProvide rotational on-call, 24/7 support for production environmentsBA/BS degree and 7-10 years of related experienceMust have a current DOD 8570.01-M IAT Level II - Security+ (minimum)5+ years hands-on experience as an Oracle DBAProven experience installing, configuring, tuning, patching, and upgrading Oracle 11g/12c/19c on Solaris & Linux2+ years’ experience working as a DBA in support of PeopleSoftSolid understanding of Oracle database, Exadata, Solaris and LinuxCurrent and active DoD Secret clearance; SSBI preferredExperience implementing and supporting Database Vault, Golden Gate, Audit VaultExperience working in support of PeopleSoft ERPExperience with volatile storage and recovery techniquesExperience with ZFS helpfulExperience with Oracle SuperclustersExperience working in DISA and working within the DISA DECC environmentExperience with DOD STIG applicationExperience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 19c and Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and have Unix shell scripting, SQL Scripting and PL/SQL experienceKnowledge of Oracle advanced security conceptsMinimum of 2 years of Oracle SQL or PL/SQL development experienceExperience with High-Availability and Disaster Recovery architecture and configurationExperience supporting reporting and other business processes using high-volume data sources across SDLC environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod)Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a strong focus on customer service and solution ownershipAbility to communicate in a clear and concise manner, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and is successful when working in Integrated Product TeamsAbility to manage time, meet deadlines and coordinate multiple, dynamic, and competing prioritiesProven mastery of troubleshooting techniques and the ability to solve problems quicklyOracle Database Administrator Certified ProfessionalWorking conditions are normal for an office environmentFast paced, deadline-oriented environment.May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)SOSi is an equal employment opportunity employer and affirmative action employer.
