Description
Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a full time Database Administrator at our central business office in Westerville, OH. Primary responsibilities include maintaining and monitoring complex, advanced SQL databases of large medical practice, installation and configuration of EHR vendor relational databases, and maintain high availability solution between SQL clusters. The Database Administrator is responsible for the overall management, development, and troubleshooting of the various databases and servers that comprise the SQL compute environment of COPC.Responsibilities:Design and implement data collection jobs from multiple sources to provide advanced analytics/predictive analytics on healthcare stall, configure and administer database systems and reporting environment supporting EHR applications.Design and maintain high level ETL architecture for data transfers across various servers.Provide guidance and support related to the installation and implementation of new database instances and services as well as upgrades to existing database systems.Create SSIS jobs and SSRS reports based on business requirements.Code optimization and improving efciency in databases including re-Indexing, updating statistics, Recompiling Stored Procedures and performing database server maintenance tasks.Performance Monitoring with SQL Proler and other third party tools.Work collaboratively with other database administrators to ensure high availability of all database systems, serving as a backup when needed.Design and implement database growth reports and schema change reports using PowerShell.Creating database objects like tables, views, indexes, stored-procedures, triggers, or cursors.Resolve Locking and Blocking issues at the PROD database to minimize user session delays.Coordinate with the programmer analyst for optimizing query, writing stored procedures.Develop SSIS packages for data population from different sources and create packages for data conversions and load data from at ies or excel lesCheck all databases with DBCC commands for maintaining data consistency and integrity.Requirements:Required: 5+ years of demonstrated experience in the role of Database Administrator.Preferred: 5+ years of experience in a healthcare, business intelligence/analytics or finance related organization. Demonstrated expertise in MS SQL Server or Oracle.Preferred: 3+ years of demonstrated experience in installing, upgrading, and administering Epic Clarity and/or Caboodle database environments.Required: Bachelor''s degree in information technology, business intelligence, healthcare analytics or a related field or equivalent education and experience. Master''s degree preferred.Strong SQL Programming Skills (MS SQL Server/Oracle platforms)Strong background in Data warehousing and ETL principles, architecture and its implementation in large environmentsExperience in handling at least Terabytes of data processing using databases like SQL Server, Azure SQL Data warehouse or other MPP databases like Vertica/RedShiftExperience with HIPAA EDI transactions, either from the Payer or Provider sideAbility to learn new technologies and business conceptsExtensive knowledge of best practices regarding reporting, workflows, policies, procedures, systems and culture in the healthcare environmentDemonstrated experience with database performance monitoring and tuningStrong analytical, problem-solving and metadata skillsStrong organizational skills and customer service orientationHigh functioning team skills, including active listening and rapport buildingEffective written & verbal communicationAbility to identify, document, resolve and/or escalate issues and maintain a complete issues logAbility to communicate with stakeholders at all levels to understand requirementsSelf-disciplined, energetic, passionate, and innovative
