Senior MS SQL Database developer FBI Virtual Academy Hybrid schedule - 2 days onsite in Quantico, VA Top Secret clearance required REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • 8+ years of experience with SQL Server databases developing and maintaining stored procedures, ETLs, and functions • 4+ years of experience with data warehouses, external interfaces, SQL queries, views, indexes, T-SQL stored procedures and functions. • 3+ years of experience monitoring and improving application performance from a database perspective; to include modifying or creating tables, indexes, views, queries, and stored procedures. • Experience troubleshooting, e.g., researching and addressing performance issues, corrupted data and reports, service desk incidents RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain system reports and respond to ad-hoc data requests. Analyze, maintain, and monitor Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes. Troubleshoot data issues. Collaborate with the development team on data design and user needs, performance tuning and analysis, researching and applying new reporting methodologies, and participating in user experience and user acceptance testing. Work as part of an Agile Scrum development team. This will include: • Be proficient in database performance analysis and tuning. • Monitor performance and evaluate areas to improve efficiency • Provide support for software developers by providing guidance on the development of SQL queries, vetting and tuning them where needed. • Provide troubleshooting and support for escalated operational issues including the support and tuning of COTS product databases. • Provide and ensure standards are enforced as they relate to database interactions. • Develop and support database stored procedures. • Be responsible for data loading and data migration activities. • Be responsible for designing, building, writing ETL scripts and maintaining data warehouses in support of the system.
