This individual will work under the guidance of the Director of Data Services to develop/support database solutions to support various company initiatives. The candidate must understand all aspects of database administration and be comfortable working with developers, Testers, Auditors, etc..Responsibilities:Core ResponsibilitiesWith little to no assistance from the Director, this candidate will be responsible for planning, processing and performing all tasks in an efficient manner. Install/patch/maintain all databases required for development, testing and production usage.Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle Databases.Design and implement backup and recovery strategies for all Oracle products.Architect, test, implement and maintain Oracle failover technologies to include both Oracle Active Data Guard as well as Oracle GoldenGate.Analyze system performance and tune all Oracle instance components including SQL and PL/SQL Review, to the extent possible, changes in code and the environment that will affect system performance and approve all production schema changes.Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or technical questions.Provides technical support to application development teams. The DBA is usually the point of contact for Oracle Corporation.Assist in developing database standards, adhere to existing standards as defined.Provided 24X7 production support, in an environment where uptime is critical.Ability to work after hours and participate in the On-Call rotation.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where task switching is essential.Need to be self-motivated and not require a lot of supervision.Perform all duties as assigned by the Director of Data ServicesPosition Objectives:Achieves desired level of competency and accuracy for the main department processes and responsibilities of assigned position, as defined in established SOPs, within 6 monthsCompletes project goals and tasks within established guidelinesReports quality results with limited errorsWorks productively and efficiently to achieve company and departmental goals Communicates effectively with all levels of staffAdheres to NeoGenomics Laboratories core values, safety, compliance, and Company policies and procedures Education:Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.Experience:7 plus years experience in Oracle Database AdministrationQualification Requirements:Broad technical expertise with deep technical knowledge in Oracle RDBMS 19c Expert level knowledge: General RDBMS, Database tuning, SQL tuning, Database Statistics, Database upgrades,Solid working level knowledge: RAC, RMAN, working in a Unix shell, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle database compliance framework, vi editorComfortable working with Oracle Databases on Oracle Enterprise LinuxExcellent communications skills - Able to effectively communicate highly technical information in non-technical terminology (written and verbal).Ability to comprehend overall product vision and generate database solutions to meet business requirements.Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance.Flexibility in working hours in line with project deadlines. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple and concurrent tasks.Expected to conduct system analysis and development, with limited support from professional staff, to keep our systems current with changing technologies.
