A client of Vaco is looking to bring on a Software Developer for a 6 month contract-to-hire. Candidate MUST be local to Columbus as this position will be a hybrid model (Remote MWF, in office TTH.) Candidates outside of Columbus will not be considered. Compensation ranges from $40/hr - $50/hr based on experience. Prior experience is required, this is not an entry-level role.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement application changes
• Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems
• Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement
• Conduct research on emerging technologies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/IT or related field
• Advanced understanding of information processing principels and practices
• 3+ years of experience working professionally as a developer in a .NET environment
• 3+ years of hands on experience with application development tools, modern C#, Visual Studio, and SQL 2012+
• 3+ years of experience with business requirements gathering/analysis
• Proven experience in internet-based systems development
• Basic knowledge of DevOps and Agile practices
• Familiarity with cloud services (Azure preferred)
