Job Title: DBA

Terms: Full time Permanent Direct Hire

Location: Dallas TX (Remote)


Key responsibilities

• Manage existing databases, identify areas of improvement, and develop solutions.
• Leverage emerging technologies to ensure products are continuously positioned to maximize business value.
• Work collaboratively with software development teams.
• Work with High availability mission critical SQL server systems.
• Perform design and code reviews for development teams.
• Monitor database performance statistics and recommend improvements.
• Mentor other database engineers in database design and optimization.
• Effectively multitask between several different projects.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of the SQL language, data modeling and database performance tuning.
• Experience designing and building cloud-ready highly scalable and distributed software.
• Has at least 6 years of practical experience in database administration. This must include solid SQL Server production Database Administrator experience.

• Understanding of relational, No-SQL and columnar structures.
• SQL Server 2019, SSMS, SSIS & Cloud data platforms.
• Database optimization tools.
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools.
• Familiarity with reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of modern information security design and best practices.
• Demonstrates a passion for producing quality solutions.
• Is adept at working in a collaborative environment within an Agile team.
• Can clearly articulate thoughts and communicate in both technical and business terms.
• Experience with end-to-end delivery of data solutions that includes building, managing, and optimizing data pipelines across environments; curating and modeling the data for various types of consumers/products and their pattern of usage to include data marts, data lake, and operational analytics applications.
• Is familiar with both structured and unstructured data.
• Possesses a BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and/or equivalent on the job technical experience.
