Dayton T. Brown is a Leader in ENGINEERING & TEST | LOGISTICS | TECH PUBLICATIONS | MILITARY MISSIONS SYSTEMS. We have a perfect opportunity for Full-Time, Technical Writer-REMOTE, to join our amazing talented team in our Technical Services Division.


Primary responsibilities will be:

  • Author clear and concise technical documentation including various types of maintenance procedures and illustrated parts data in accordance with military specifications from various forms of source material such as maintenance plans, 3D models, engineering drawings, bills of material, design specifications, and other source materials.
  • Collaborate effectively with Subject Matter Experts such as engineers, technicians, and publications personnel.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all work produced.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, and interface with illustrators and production personnel to support the development of technical documentation.
  • Ensure assignments are completed in timely manner to facilitate on-time delivery of technical data to our customers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement objectives to achieve quality goals.
  • Be able to travel as required.
  • US Citizenship Required




The ideal Candidate will need:

  • 2 or 4-year Engineering degree.
  • Minimum 1 year working as a technical writer authoring aircraft maintenance procedures and developing illustrated parts data.
  • Must be able to read and interpret maintenance plans, engineering drawings, 3D models, bills of material and other engineering source documents.
  • Strong computer skills, with knowledge of XML structured authoring.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulations such as
  • A&P Certificate a plus.
