Utilizes SQL Server Reporting Services to present data that is meaningful and readily accessible to end-users. Troubleshoots SIS problems and assigns and manages user accounts.The salary range for this position is $40,702.48 to $45,790.29 annually.40% Analyzes, designs, and develops reports with report writing tools such as SSRS, Crystal, and Microsoft Visual Studio. Manages report server including user permissions and access controls.25% Administers, maintains, and updates college databases and SIS systems. Works with department managers to evaluate user roles, create user accounts, and grant permissions.10% Works closely with college departments to develop and improve reports and reporting processes.10% Develops and maintains queries against SQL Server 2016 databases.10% Troubleshoots reporting, data and software problems. Assists faculty and staff with supported software difficulties.5% Performs other related duties as assigned by management.Performance Measurements:Performance Measurements:Demonstrates the Vikings Values of balance, clarity, gratitude, service, teamwork, and trust.Works as a contributing member of the Information Technology team to resolve technical challenges and provide a high levelof service to end-users.Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with college departments.Responds to end-users when problem situations arise; works to find appropriate resolutions in a timely manner.Complies with all federal and state laws and regulations relating to higher education and data security.Maintains a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.Works as scheduled and maintains an acceptable attendance record.Work independently and/or collaboratively to complete assigned projects and meet deadlines.This job description is not a complete statement of all duties and responsibilities comprising the position.Experience:Two years to five years of high level of experience with Excel, SQL database administration, report writing, software development, Crystal Reports, SSRS, SSIS, Visual Studio, ASP.NET, and Active Directory.Education:Two year degree or specialized training in the technology required to complete the work.Interpersonal Skills:Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the college for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.Other Skills:Strong analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Experience in table joining, use of temp tables, ability to step through complex queries, familiar with indexing strategies, creating stored procedures, creating triggers, and utilizing views.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Physical Requirements:The work is typically sedentary. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special demands are required to do the work.Work Environment:Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a typical office.This position requires submission of official transcripts and three professional references.
